My personal experience at Swahili Village left a lasting impression. The Chicken Wings and the Samosas were bursting with flavor, and the Chapati Quesadilla was a unique and delicious twist on a classic dish. While the pricing may be a bit steep for some, the quality and taste of the food make it well worth it.

This place is actually a 5 star, however since the last time I stopped by, they have gone crazy with the pricing. The food is very delish and seasoned perfectly, however paying $20 bucs for lunch specials and $12 for six chicken wings is really stretching the imagination and diminishes the entire experience considering the portions are lunch appropriate. Again, the food is good but not worth the price and certainly over the limit for the location. For what it's worth, there are pics of the lunch menu showing prices $7-9 bucs less than the present prices and last but not least, there is a10% auto gratuity. I recommend if you have extra money to blow on food, if not, buyer beware!

If you enjoy or wish to try authentic Kenyan food, this is a nice place to try out. However, tables are very close together with almost no privacy or space to walk in between. Some guests or even the staff kept bumping into tables. It's a bit noisy so hard to have a quiet conversation. The food took awhile to come out and the staff wasn't as attentive or helpful, but we did enjoy the food ... it had good flavor.

Denim* was our server and he exceeded our expectations. He was very patient with us and we couldn't have asked for a better server. The food was amazing as always. Our orders were correct. We have no complaints! We loved the ambiance and we had a great time. Thank you to our amazing server Denim*!!

I had already been to the Washington DC location and this is my first time at the Beltsville location. I found everything very similar From the atmosphere to food. I had the beef and shrimp entree it was delicious and was even better the the hot pepper sauce they provided on the side. The waiter and greeter was nice they were from the DRC and Cote D Voire respectively

Placed a carry out order online Food was delicious!! Portion was massive and well worth to the price paid. Even though I waited for my order in the front entrance way, the ambiance was nice. Very family friendly atmosphere.

OMG!!!! I am ashamed admit that this is my very first time at Swahili?! How on earth as a loud and proud, real African American is this my 1st visit to Swahili?!! Perhaps it's because I heard about my girl Jordan! Jordan the bartender is the bomb.com!! Great music, great suya and the service is good. We were lucky to secure seats at the bar, before it was jammed packed by 11pm. If you have a larger party, make reservations!

I've had food from here on several occasions. I enjoyed my dine-in experience, but I get food to go more often. GLOWS: -The food travels well. They pack everything up so that it doesn't leak. - I like the red snapper, but I enjoy the tilapia more. The red snapper is a good alternative to deep fried fish -Grilled wings were quite tasty. GROWS: -I don't care for the greens much. I'll try cabbage next time -The plantains are very greasy. The oil could be strained off a little better. -I wish their tilapia had different preparations. All of the fish comes deep fried, which is very heavy.

Swahili Village is always a 10/10 for me Unfortunately, I had to give this visit 4 stars because the service wasn't amazing. Nonetheless, the food is always a hit! The drinks took FOREVER to come. We got our appetizer before the drinks even came out. Whenever I go, the wings are a must. They are so flavorful and the sauce is delicious. I got the mbuzi mchuzi w jollof and spinach for my entree and it was yummy. The portions size is huge. My man got suya, pilau and plantain and he enjoyed it. We also got a side of the delicious chapati. I love the vibe of the restaurant and the afrobeats music that plays. Overall a great restaurant to try out

I love Swahili!! This is my second time to this location and the food never disappoints. This place is a whole vibe. The ambiance is cozy & nice with a great selection of music. The food I ordered the first time I came about 4 yrs ago was so rememberable I wanted it again this time. I ordered the flaming margarita for my cocktail. It was balanced nicely. For dinner I chose the beef stew. The entrees come with two sides so I got Jollof rice and fried sweet plantains. Everything is so so good. The spices and flavors paired beautifully. The beef was so tender. I will def be back and it won't be in a few years! Excited to try more.

One of my favorite restaurants! The food is amazing!!! After 9, the DJ comes in and that's when the party begins! Great music and service is good. Normally I sit at the bar, but decided to dine in. Bar gets crowded after 10pm. If you have a larger party, make reservations!
